Heritage Architecture was contracted to perform field inspections and prepare capital needs assessments based on Housing Preservation Department (HPD) requirements for a total of 286 units located in Brooklyn, NY.  Using external and internal inspection methods, Heritage Architecture representatives surveyed existing conditions, identified work necessary and reported on the expected useful life of each building’s components. Recommendations were also made for long-term estimated costs, including deferred maintenance items. Data collection was recorded and documented using customized, proprietary survey forms.  Reports prepared in accordance with Fannie Mae Physical Needs assessment Guidance and ASTM E2010-08 Guide to summarize findings and make recommendations for future improvements.
