Heritage Architecture designed the complete upgrade and rehabilitation of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission’s Administration Building in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Following FEMA’s Design Guide for Improving Critical Facility Safety from Flooding and High Winds, the two story and basement building’s rehabilitation was designed using resilient materials and finishes. The objective of this sustainable building rehabilitation project was to achieve high-performance space planning within an existing 33,000 SF building accommodating commissioners, executive members, and employees. The interior of the space is being completely transformed to a more efficient, comfortable, and inviting space.  A second floor data center successfully remained in full operation during all construction phases.
