An accomplished architect and dedicated leader, Ms. Alhamash is founding principal of Heritage Architecture. Her commitment to sustainable design throughout her 28-year career has deeply influenced the firm’s approach to design – from planning green interiors, to developing sustainable housing communities, to designing K-12 facilities. As executive manager of the architecture studio, Ms. Alhamash sets the firm’s design philosophy. By taking a vision and transforming it into reality to achieve economical and developmental goals on behalf of clients, who rely heavily on her swift approach and steady management skills. As principal architect at Heritage, she has overseen notable projects, including mixed-use development, K-12 facilities and worked on civic buildings throughout NY City.In 1985, Ms. Alhamash received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Baghdad, where she resided and practiced architecture. Soon thereafter, she obtained professional licensing in both New Jersey and New York. In addition to being LEED-accredited, she is a member of the USGBC/NJ, NYSAFAH, and Women in Housing. In 2012, she won both the Women of Distinction and the Women of Excellence awards.
